Seth Spergel is a Managing Partner of Merlin Ventures, where he is responsible for identifying cutting-edge companies for Merlin to partner with and invest in. Seth has more than 20 years of experience building, selling, and investing in software and startups. Most recently, Seth was VP for Infrastructure Technologies at In-Q-Tel, a strategic investment firm that invests in startups that meet the mission needs of government customers. There, he led a team of technology experts to evaluate companies and identify novel uses of their technology within In-Q-Tel’s customer set.

Prior to In-Q-Tel, Seth was the VP of Engineering for ThinkGeek, an online seller and manufacturer of “geeky” toys and clothing. He also spent 12 years at IBM in roles ranging from software developer to sales manager.

Shay is a Managing Partner of Merlin Ventures. He is also the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of toDay Ventures, which is the Seed Stage Partner Fund for Merlin Ventures. Shay is an expert in transforming tech startups into working businesses. Prior to toDay, Shay worked at Inkod and as an entrepreneur, founded Playground, Sparkeo, and Buzzit Media.

Jason is Director of Community at Merlin Ventures. Jason joins us after working as a community builder and customer advocacy leader for several event companies and his own organization, The CISO Society. Before launching The CISO Society, he spent most of his career launching and running events for C-Level executives in the technology industry. Initially starting in sales, he transitioned to the product side of the house, where he developed numerous programs and initiatives to bring technology leaders and vendors together. His passion lies in developing deep relationships with key stakeholders, providing them with an environment to collaborate with their peers, and receiving direct guidance on how to develop stronger products and services.

Almog is Principal for Merlin Ventures. He served 10 years with 8200, the elite technology unit of the Israeli Defense Forces. Before joining Merlin, Almog worked for a boutique investment banking firm.

Tav is an Associate at Merlin Ventures. She has a BA in Political Science and Business Administration, with a minor in Big Data from Tel Aviv University. She previously worked for a company that provided financial consulting services to senior veterans of the Israel Defense Forces.
